Pet Zapper Avatar Skins

Well, now that Morostide is over, I ought to upload these guys and prattle on about them. If you're familiar with our Pet Zapper (in which you take your pet to a person of dubious morals for the chance at getting a nice color or a pile of soot) this year we made it so you could aim the zapper at your avatar instead of your pet. These skins are permanent, unless you drink a cure.

The top row are all based on experiment pets (numbers 2285, 893, and 1102 respectively.) There was a fourth one of these partial skins, but for some reason it didn't get added with the rest. I hope it gets added next year (if we have this next year) because I REALLY wanted to see the reactions to that one.

The next row are pet colors: Hydrus, Darkmatter and Galactic. Unfortunately, I messed up with my files and I don't have the full Male version of Galactic. The one on the end of this row is a full skin of Experiment #886. If this does come back next year, and I'm able to contribute, I'm planning on doing one of #84 (and I say this because I saw a LOT of people wishing that one had been a skin this year.)

In the third row are the elemental skins, Wood, Magma, and Water. Looking at it now, I think something is a bit off with the Wooden one. I made it to match some items from a costume trunk (people seem to like dressing up as trees) but I don't feel I made the skin interesting enough. People mistook the angry grimace on Magma's face to be a moustache, though I have to say I kind of like that interpretation now that I see it. The water person was kind of based on Water Elementals from WoW, because I just really love the colors and the way those things look.

The last row was just the random skins I did that don't really fit into a certain category. First, the Na'vi-like ones. I've seen a lot of people attempt Na'vi cosplays on Subeta (as well as a request for a costume trunk) so I figured a skin like that might go over well. Next is the Giger skin, very heavily based on H.R. Giger's alien. This one is kind of my favorite of the bunch, maybe partially because Aliens is my favorite movie, but also just because it came together rather nicely, though it was a pain getting there. These originally weren't going to have faces at all, but that wasn't possible, so I didn't quite now how to give this skin a face. I ended up with this skull looking thing, and I'm just pretty happy with how it came out.

The Demon skin confused everybody, because they weren't sure what was being referenced. Technically, it's loosely based on a Tiefling from D&D, and it's made to go with the archling horn and tail we have on-site. Mostly it's just a random demon thing, because why not? Last is the incredibly popular doe-like skin that EVERYONE wanted. Which is pretty funny, because I was the most unsure of that one, and almost didn't include it. It's actually supposed to be the opposite of the demon, more like a forest spirit/nymph thing (because I learned all of my mythical conflicts from World of Warcraft) and not just a completely random deer person.

These were all a lot of fun, though, and I'm happy that people thought it was a cool feature.
